E.A. JOHNSTON
E.A. Johnston, a former environmental scientist and biologist, is an artist living in Winchester, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science Degrees in Environmental Studies and Biology from Shenandoah University in 2003; her background in the visual arts is comprised entirely of a few studio art classes in college and a life-long love affair with color. In 2012 she traded her field boots for colored pencils and set herself the modest goals of either being featured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum during her lifetime or having a specialty Krispy Kreme donut named after her. She works primarily in colored pencil and ink but enjoys the challenge of working with different media in a variety of art styles. Her website is www.pencilated.com
